Design with rhythm, depth and freedom with our

Brick slips

Brick slips offer the same appearance as traditional masonry, but provide more freedom in application, detailing and weight. This results in greater control over the final exterior wall design.

In the design, you determine the rhythm, layering and detailing of an exterior wall. The properties of a brick slip help to keep those choices visible even during the execution phase, so that the exterior wall design you compose beforehand remains as close to the final result as possible.

Brick slip as a design tool

In our production process, a brick slip starts as a full-fledged facing brick, but is developed in such a way that it adds new possibilities to your design. During extrusion, a single element is formed which we split into two full-fledged strips after drying. That is why we also call them break strips. This ensures:

  • consistent dimensions
  • control over colour and texture
  • two usable visible sides

This way, you retain the appearance of traditional brickwork, but gain more freedom in application, weight and detailing. Since the product is built from the ground up, the exterior wall design remains predictable and consistent.

Variation in texture

Using both exposed faces of the brick slip creates greater depth and variation in the façade appearance.

Compose your exterior wall design in detail

Brick slips give you the opportunity to design with rhythm and depth. This creates an exterior wall that responds to its circumstances, such as light and the environment.

  • Vertical or horizontal placement
  • Variation in patterns and depth
  • Variation between front and back
  • Combinations within a single exterior wall plane

When do you opt for break strips?

Brick slips are a logical choice if the exterior wall design is the guiding principle and you want to be able to control the result. For example, when:

  • rhythm and interplay of lines are decisive
  • you work with prefab elements
  • weight plays a role in renovation
  • you want to introduce variation within a single system
